RMB’s long-term relationship and deep sector expertise played a key role in financing three recovery vessels for Debmarine Namibia.
Through RMB’s dedicated and long-standing partnership with Debmarine Namibia, RMB played a key role in financing a state-of-the-art, custom-built diamond recovery vessel. This deal represents the largest ever single investment in the marine diamond industry.
Having financed two recovery vessels previously for Debmarine Namibia, RMB acted as co-arranger, co-funder and underwriter in financing a third, the $375-m AMV 3.
Debmarine Namibia’s AMV 3 will have world-class operational capabilities, and will be used to recover diamonds off the Namibian coast, contribute to the growth of Namibia’s economy and created more than 160 new jobs.
Representing the largest ever single investment in the marine diamond industry, this is testament to how our Solutionist Thinking approach and the strength of a long-term partnership unlocks growth for resources in Africa.
